Turkish giants Fenerbache are interested in a £6m move for Sochaux sensation Marvin Martin, who has impressed in both the French League as well as on the International scene. The 24 year old is said to have great on-ball skills and excellent vision that make him an immense threat in midfield.
Fenerbache are looking to bring him to Turkey as they look to retain their Turkish League title amidst growing pressure from Galatasaray. Both Arsenal and Tottenham have kept their eyes on the player for a while but if they don’t move fast, the Turkish giants might make a swift move right under their noses. Fenerbache hope to open talks with Marvin as they line up a bid to test Sochaux’s resilience.
Martin has been touted by the press as the next Zenedine Zidane after he scored 2 goals on his International debut. The Frenchman has been one of the most up and coming midfielders in the Ligue 1 and has been watched over by many prominent clubs across Europe.
Both Tottenham and Arsenal could use a midfielder in the mould of Martin. While Arsenal haven’t entirely succeeded in filling the gap left by Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, Tottenham are running scared over big money moves for Luka Modric and Rafael van der Vaart. Marvin Martin may prove to be a value for money investment that may end up paying unfathomable dividends in the future.
