Arsenal and Chelsea have locked horns over Hellas Verona youngster Jorginho, according to the latest rumours.
The 21 year old was also believed to be a target for Merseysiders Liverpool during the summer transfer window only for the reports to cool down eventually. However, the Reds are expected to rekindle their interest in the young midfielder as the winter transfer window draws nearer.
Jorginho has had a scintillating start to his season in the Serie A this term, being an indispensable part of the Verona club which has climbed up the league standings reaching the fourth place, despite having been promoted this year only from the Italian tier-two league.
It is reported that the Gunners held crunch talks with the player’s agent last week and are believed to be commencing charting plans to land him at the Emirates in the winter. Moreover, it is also reported that the two London sides have sent scouts to monitor the progress of the 21 year old which showcases their intent on making a move for him in the near future. Liverpool will need to act fast if they don’t want to be left behind in the race to Jorginho’s signature.
