Arsenal join the chase for the German Messi

Reports in Germany are starting to surface that Arsenal have not only joined the long list of admirers of Werder Bremen play maker Marko Marin but that The Gunners have in fact moved in to pole position.

Marin has been the subject of intense speculation over the last few months with the likes of Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Man Utd and Tottenham all linked with the player termed the German Messi and now the rumours doing the rounds in Germany are that Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal are now considered favourites for the 21 year old.

Marin’s valuation has skyrocketed from the €8.5 Million that Werder Bremen paid for him and it is now suggested that nothing short of €20 Million will be enough to get his club to open up talks, if that is the case then that may prove to be the biggest stumbling block for Arsenal.

Wenger does not like to spend big and €20 Million would represent a massive investment by The Gunners but that does not mean that Wenger would not go that high, but anything higher and then it may well be that the player then becomes to expensive.

What is for certain is that at some point over the next few months the Marin saga will reach its end game.

not going to happen, we got to many midfielders and he is to expensive. lus Eden Hazard is a much better option.

IT WILL BE A GOOD OPPORTUNITY,A CREATIVE MIND THAT WILL ALLOW FAB TO PLAY A DEEPER DEFENSIVE ROLE N OPEN UP THE OPPONENT’S MIDFIELD N STIL ALLOW ARSENAL TO OFF-LOAD LAZY ARSHAVIN.STIL,FOR THAT MUCH,MIKEL ARTETA OR LUCA MODRIC OR LUCHO GONZALEZ WOULD BE THE BEST OPTIONS

I am so sick of reading such poor grammar recently, even the “journalist” in this article has an appalling grasp of the basics. “anything higher and then it may well be that the player then becomes to expensive”. It’s “too” for goodness sake! What on Earth are they teaching in our schools nowadays.

Also, some objective evidence to substantiate your “story” would be good, rather than bluff and speculation. Just because you or I might say, on a blog, that Arsene Wenger is rumoured to be interested in, say, Lionel Messi, does not make it true. Poor form!

Its so good if he is going 2 buy him bt he should at least buy a defender

Yes, sign him and sell Arshavin. Arshavin has lost his passion for success, he is just running on the pich for his paycheck.

AW will sign nobody, not unless there are more horror stories on the GKs. He is sitting pretty, why worry? He never will inch out of his glorious financial safe house, for what?

  • Ricka

Yes Marin will fit to play in Arsenal, he is young to play in the youth team!
