Arsenal outcast could finally be on his way out of The Emirates

Much maligned Arsenal playmaker Andrey Arshavin could be saved the ignominy of returning home to Mother Russia, where he is no longer such a revered figure after the national side’s debacle at the European Championships saw them crash out of the tournament at the Group Stage at the hands of a rather ordinary Greek side.

With Zenit St. Petersburg appearing in no hurry to sign the Russian, Arsenal fans are likely to be a worried bunch, especially with Wenger needing to get rid of so much dead wood from the club this summer.

However, there is hope emerging from an unlikely corner of the world as Qatari side Al-Sadd have expressed an interest in signing the 31-year old, hoping to pair him alongside Legendary Real Madrid striker Raul, who they signed earlier in the off-season on a free transfer after FC Schalke opted not to renew the Spaniard’s contract.

While Arshavin will no doubt be keen to play in a top league, his agent believes that money could well be a strong motivator for the Russian, and with many clubs chasing his signature, he will sign for whoever is prepared to pay “top dollar”.

Arshavin hasn’t done too much on the pitch so from that point of view I am not worried about his departure however I do like what I’ve seen of his character. He is colourful honest and funny. Good Luck Andrey
