One of the pressing problems for the Tottenham manager Andre Villas Boas has been to scout for replacement playmakers after the twin deartures of Luka Modric and Rafael Van Der Vaart from the White Hart Lane. Villas Boas’s search for a young playmaker received a jolt when the Santos playmaker Felipe Anderson indirectly revealed that he is happy at Santos.
The 19 year old playmaker was also linked to AC Milan, another outfit in dire need of fresh talent. While talking to TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Anderson also rejected any plans of a move to Milan. “For me it’s a surprise to hear of interest from Milan because I have not proven anything. I’m working to earn my place at Santos – this is why I’m not thinking of a possible transfer.” said Anderson.
Anderson has attracted the attention of European giants with impressive diaplays for Santos, particularly after he took over the creative mantle from Elano and Ganso. At 19 years of age, he has got plenty of time to keep playing in his homeland, but a big offer would definitely test the Santos management’s intent of keeping the player for a longer term. At present, it looks doubtful if Anderson would see off his contract period till 2016 with European giants standing at the doorsteps of his club asking for a meaty transfer deal!
