FIFA have announced their shortlist for the Coach of the year award, but who deserves to win the crown?
The lists of names are some of the best managers in the world and have all been credited with a nomination for all of their hard work over the past season. Spanish boss Vicente del Bosque, former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola, Barcelona gaffer Jupp Heynckes, Borussia Dortmund coach Jürgen Klopp, German international boss Joachim Low, Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho and Italian boss Cesare Prandelli have all be added to the ten man shortlist to win the crown.
Also in contention are Premier League bosses, Man City’s Roberto Mancini, Man United’s Sir Alex Ferguson and Chelsea coach Roberto Di Matteo, who have all got a great chance of winning.
But I believe that it could well be out of Spanish Boss del Bosque and Chelsea’s young manager di Matteo, who have won the two biggest competitions of this year, the Champions League and the European championships.
Di Matteo took his team from looking like a bunch of average stars, to European Champions and that is a big achievement for such an inexperienced manager of the game.
And Del Bosque, well what can I say about him? He has won everything there is to win in the game and his Spanish side is the best national team out there. The European Championship followed the win of the 2010 world cup and marked him down as probably the greatest Spanish manager to ever live.
Even though every manager has done so much for their club over the past twelve months, in my opinion Chelsea boss di Matteo has the edge over the rest, simply because he won the F.A Cup and the UEFA Champions League against all the odds.

Well, I strongly agree with you! But the reality is that the “powers that be” do not like chelsea vis-a-vis its employees!
