Chelsea set to offload two defenders for a combined fee of £40 Million

The Daily Star report that Chelsea are ready to clear their squad this summer so that soon to be reinstated Manager Jose Mourinho can build the team the way he wants, and that the self proclaimed ‘Special One’ has given the green signal to the club to sell defenders Branislav Ivanovic and David Luiz to Barcelona for a combined fee of 40 million pounds.

Mourinho wishes to add the funds to the transfer kitty he has been handed by club owner Roman Abramovich to beef up the team in key areas, including bringing in a top class defender in Frenchman Eliaquim Mangala, Italian hardman Daniele de Rossi and Uruguayan super striker Edinson Cavani.

Mourinho sees David Luiz as a disaster waiting to happen in defence, and wants no part of the Brazilian’s brand of defending at Chelsea, where he has always maintained an extremely tight ship. Ivanovic meanwhile, despite scoring the winning goal for Chelsea in the Europa League final is already 29 years old, and the club are happy to cash in on him rather than offering him an expensive new contract which will carry him well into his 30s.

Jose Mourinho with due respect don’t cell David Luiz

Chelsea are favourites for next season. Mourinho’s timing is perfect, and he knows it. The team added young talent last summer and they have had a season to play in. Now a world class striker will come too. Barcelona are not what they were. The Spanish league is in decline and the Premier league is strengthening. Mourinho is not against Luiz; that is media hype. Writers say Luiz is not a Mourinho style player, but there is no such thing as a Mourinho style player. Jose is experienced; he will build around the team’s present strengths, and Luiz is one of Chelsea’s big ones. He has transformed; already many fans are saying he is the EPL’s best central defender; and he is tipped to be Chelsea’s captain. It would be really strange for Luiz to move to Barca at this time. I think Jose and David will work well together.

Hmm!!! Ivanovic yes but Luiz??? why not move him to midfield where he still has a defenders mentality and a Brazilian flair in holding, passing, and taking more free kicks?

I dont beleive this story for one bit! Y wud chelsea sell their their top players who recently had a great season for such paltry money? Luiz alone is worth more than those peanuts Barca r offering Any Ways he aint going nowhere and has a 5year contract!!! Some of these Journalists eat mushrooms all day and hallucinate on potential transfers that wil neva happen!
