Despite a new manager Tottenham ace still wants to leave

Giovani dos Santos is still looking to end his Tottenham nightmare, and has declared his interest in moving back to Spain to receive more playing time.

The former Barcelona youth product, who was signed by Tottenham in 2008, has never been able to seal a regular place in the Spurs side in his four years at the North London club, and has been shipped out on loan to the likes of Racing Santander, Galatasaray and Ipswich in the past by the club’s previous manager Harry Redknapp.

However, despite the arrival of a new manager in Andre Villas-Boas, Dos Santos insisted that the only thing on his mind was to leave his struggles in England behind and move back to the La Liga.

“I want to return to Spain,” Dos Santos told ESPN Radio. “There is a new coach at Tottenham, a new season is starting and it is clear to me that I want to return to Spanish football.

“I think that I will be able to announce the move soon.”

Dos Santos, who was brought to White Hart Lane for £4.7 million, also criticised the Spurs for always trying to oversell his price and making demands that were not feasible to be met by interested clubs.

“Tottenham have always tried to sell me for double the price that they paid for me,” he said.

The starlet however suggested that there was progress being made over a prospective exit from the club, stating that there have been offers that cannot be made public yet.

“There are offers, but nothing can be made public yet.”
