Does Lampard really deserve the contract?

There has been a huge cry from the media that a grave injustice is going on with Frank Lampard. The Chelsea legend has been firing all cylinders and still he has no future at the club.

The 34-year-old deserves a new contract and Rafael Benitez, the interim manager and skipper John Terry has indirectly demanded the owner to hand him a new deal.

Lampard has been one of the finest central midfielders of this generation and is just few goals away from becoming the all-time top scorer in the club’s history.

This season he has scored 12 goals already and surely he deserves a new contract. On the flip side, think the other way round.

Lampard is basically a midfielder, and his prime job is not to score goals, but to create goals. He has bagged only one assist so far; his passing accuracy is only 82%, not expected from a class player like him and has provided only 20 key passes this season. Surely that’s not the standard expected from a top class midfielder.

While goals are equally important for any team, but a midfielder’s central job is to create goals for others and maintain a balance in the middle of the park. Lampard is not doing that at the moment and therefore the hierarchies are bit unsure about extending his contract.

  • If i were the owner nothing can make me extend Lampard contract. He lost the game of midfield and missunderstood scoring goals for been in form. Lampard is going and i encourage Chelsea fans who see no Chelsea future but Lampard, to go with him. Chelsea must move forward!

Lamps Assist Made Drogbazoka The Legend He Was.The Main Problem Is, Lamps No Longer Find A Trusted Striker Who Can Continually Do The Hatchet Job Like Drog,So He Has Decided To Bury The Goals Himself.Afterall Heavens Did Not Fall On Mata As He Is Guilty Of The Same Offence.I Can Remember Very Vividly Several Through Passes From Lamps In Games Which Was Not Convert. However Check Most Of Lamps Goals This Season. They Arent Born Out Of Selfishness Most Are Born Out Of Positional Intelligence He Has Gathered So Far.Or Do You Want Him To Find Himself At The Right Place To Score A Goal And He Should Start Looking For Roman Torres?IMPOSSIBLE. Lamps Is A Team Player By All Standard And Lets Stop This Act Of Ungratefulness.
