Young Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling has just established himself as a first team regular in Liverpool team, but he is in the middle of choosing his international future, as he has to decide whether to play for England or Jamaica.
The player burst onto the scene at the end of last season and has caught the attention of everybody with his undeniable talent.
But this campaign is his real breakthrough season and is enjoying a good run of games in the Liverpool team under Brendan Rodgers.
But now we could lose such an exciting young lad turn his back on England to play for the country of his birth, Jamaica.
Yet the kid has played at every youth level for England, which includes Stuart Pearce’s under 21 side, but since he hasn’t represented the first team, he has the option to choose who he plays for.
I do believe that a player should play for the country where he is born, but I also want to see the young lad playing at the top level of football in the coming seasons.
It is a tough decision for the young man to choose, but he has an intelligent head on his shoulders and I am sure he will make the best choice for him.
Sterling is a prestigious talent and regardless of what national team he is playing for, he will eventually become one of the biggest stars in the Premier League.
