Everton look towards Arsenal for winter loan deal

Cash strapped Everton are interested in taking Arsenal forward Marouane Chamakh on Loan in January however they will have to compete with Sevilla.

The 27-year-old Moroccan striker has hardly set the world alight after his move from Bordeux to the Emirates and is far from happy with a lack of first team appearances and evaluating his options and with the January transfer window looming and Arsenal reportedly on the hunt for another striker to support in-form Robin Van Persie, Chamakh may find his chances drop dramatically as Arsene Wenger continues to prefer Park Chu-Young as the back up striker.

Interest in Chamakh is high as he is still considered a genuine talent and Everton are thought to be interested and believe the Moroccan is will provide them with the goals they so desperately needed after selling Yakubu and Jermaine Beckford in the summer, though Everton who have very little money will look to convince Arsene Wenger that a Loan deal is more viable.

However Sevilla have now entered the race to sign Chamakh and have much more financial clout than Everton and the Arsenal Boss may want a transfer fee which rules Everton out unless reported Indian interest in the club is concrete.
