Finally some good news on the horizon for Chelsea fans

There is finally some good news on the horizon for Chelsea fans. Rafael Benitez could get the boot in the summer and the Daily Mail understands the Everton boss David Moyes has moved to the top of the list of potential targets for owner Roman Abramovich.

Benitez has been a hugely unpopular choice of Abramovich with the Blues fans not happy with how the Spaniard replaced Roberto di Matteo at Stamford Bridge. Benitez has been at the receiving end of constant abuse from the supporters and his stock has fallen down further following Chelsea’s exit from the Capital One Cup at the hands of Swansea.

There have been calls to sack Benitez at the earliest but the Blues faithful might have to wait till the end of the season as the Chelsea hierarchy is keen to persist with him for another 5 months. And Abramovich has identified David Moyes as the man to take over at the club following his good work at Everton.

Moyes has been one of the longest serving managers in the Premier League and has been at Goodison Park since 2002. Despite being forced to operate with a limited budget; Moyes has built a team capable of challenging for a Champions League spot.

Chelsea are already planning for life beyond the season and making Moyes the club’s first British manager under Abramovich could be a massive step in the right direction.

Moyes won’t go somewhere where he doesn’t have full control of the transfers and squad.

Now I understand what Benitez mean when he said he cannot coach a team like chelsea. Sure he can’t as we have all seen what chelsea have become under him.

Why don’t Chelsea fans boycott games?
Start hitting roman in the pocket.

David Moyes will be a good replacement for Rafa, but Roman needs to understand that he has to allow time for the team to gel and get to follow the manager´s plans. Patience is the key! If Mr. Moyes accepts the post, he will have to have in his contract that he requires time to mold the players into a team. We have the players, what we need is a team!
