Fri 27th July – Man City transfer news, Mancini upset and two defenders wanted

Roberto Mancini is currently leading his Man City contingent through a tour of China and the Italian manager showcased his version of ‘fists of fury’ as he laid into the club’s football director Brian Marwood for the lack of transfer spending this summer. As the Sun report, Mancini was testy when asked about any prospective buys as he said: “For this question, speak to the man in charge. I am not in charge of this.” He stressed the need to add fresh faces to the squad, although he conceded that he already had four strikers and considered Robin van Persie as an Arsenal player.

Inter Milan have been told to increase their offer for Man City’s Alesksandar Kolarov as TalkSport reveal that the Italians aren’t prepared to meet the £9.3m price tag, with their offer falling £3m short. The report also suggests that Juventus could move for the kill should Inter and City fail to reach an agreement over the Serbian left-back.

The Micah Richards to Real Madrid story appears to be gathering steam, however, TalkSPORT seems to be spicing things up by suggesting that AC Milan have also tossed their hat into the ring for the England defender.
