Chelsea’s bid to land Porto’s Alvaro Pereira could be scuppered by the news that Napoli are also interested in the right-back. Tuttosport report that the Serie A side are preparing a £12.8m bid for the Uruguayan, who has been on Chelsea’s radar for over a year now. The Blues are in need of reinforcements in defence following the departure of Jose Bosingwa and the 26 year old Porto star fits the bill. Although, Porto are under no pressure to negotiate as the player is tied down with them until 2016.
The revolving door at Stamford Bridge has seen quite a few entries and departures this summer and Florent Malouda could be the latest to exit Chelsea as the Metro reports that the Frenchman is open to a move after failing to get an extension to his contract which expires next year. The interested parties contains a varied list of clubs, including Italian giants AC Milan and Juventus and Brazilian outfit Vasco de Gama.
Chelsea are planning to renew their attempt to sign Nigerian international Victor Moses after a failed £4 million bid, reports the Evening Standard. Florent Malouda will almost surely leave the Blues this summer, and the club is keen to sign the 21-year-old as a replacement with a new offer worth £6 million. Moses, influential in Wigan’s successful bid to stay in the Premier League last season, has just twelve months left on his contract.·However,·The Sun reports that new Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has identified Moses as an alternative to Gylfi Sigurdsson, who is edging closer to a Tottenham switch.
