Fri 6th July – Everton transfer news including player being targeted and players staying

Everton boss David Moyes is accustomed to fending off interest from big clubs for his best talents and the Daily Star report that the long-serving manager is determined to hold on to Maroaune Fellaini and Leighton Baines, the two players constantly linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer. Baines has been strongly followed by Man United while Fellaini has attracted interest from Chelsea and Real Madrid too. Everton have struggled due the lack of transfer funds and although they could raise money by selling the duo, Moyes isn’t contemplating it as yet.

Tim Cahill is once again the subject of a surprising transfer rumour as the·Mirror report that the Everton player was spotted watching a Chinese league game involving Guizhou Renhe, whose coach confirmed that the club are in pursuit of the Australian. The 33 year old has already turned down a chance to play in the UAE and Guizhou might face a similar response from the attacker as he still possess the quality to stay in the Premier League. Although, his impact at Everton has reduced in recent times and David Moyes might be tempted to cash-in on their most recognizable player.

Everton are looking to sign Hugo Rodallega from Wigan, reports The Mirror. The Colombian striker is a free agent and David Moyes is keen to sign the frontman to reinforce his strike-force. However, to·accommodate·Rodallega in the wage structure, Everton may have to offload Nigerian Victor Anichebe for around 3 million pounds, with Wigan manager Roberto Martinez interested in the striker.
