Despite being heavily linked with a move to Chelsea, Porto striker Hulk has insisted that no such talks have been held between the Blues and the player.
The London club, bankrolled by Russian owner Roman Abramovich, have been very busy over the summer on the back of their Champions League success last term, and have been keen on bringing the Brazil international to Stamford Bridge.
The player has himself hinted at an exit from the Portuguese club in the past, but during an interview with Lancenet recently, said that he had not heard of any official interest from Chelsea yet.
“I have four more years on my contract with Porto,” Hulk said. “I’m focusing on the national team (ahead of the 2012 Olympics).
“I haven’t talked to anyone. As everyone knows, I don’t follow negotiations closely as that will make me lose my focus. I let my agent deal with that stuff.”
Porto president Pinto da Costa similarly denied that any contact had been made for the 25-year old, saying: “What is certain and can’t be denied is that so far there have been no offers for Hulk.
“There have been talks regarding other players, but not those mentioned in the papers.”
