Daniel Sturridge has made a huge impact at Liverpool since joining from Chelsea in the January transfer window. He has already scored five goals and has bagged two assists but it his relentless movement, work ethics, guile and partnership with Luis Suarez that has been the most pleasing sight for all the Red fans.
The 23-year-old didn’t play against West Bromwich Albion and Liverpool struggled to find the net, despite creating bundles of chances. He was straight away drafted into the side against Swansea and Liverpool went on to win 5-0 at Anfield.
According to club legend Jamie Carragher, they are a deadly strike force that can cause headache to any defenders of any team. He said as quoted in the club’s official website:
“But at the moment, he and Luis up front look as dangerous as anything in the league. We hope that goes well for the future.”
So, what is it that makes them so dangerous? Actually, Suarez loves to play behind the striker where he is at his dangerous best. The link up play between them has been sensational and there is a good understanding between the two.
Sturridge was criticized for being selfish when he was at Chelsea, but he has adjusted brilliantly to Brendan Rodgers’ system where he is asked to look out passes also. Liverpool fans can hope the duo continues to dazzle till the end of the season so that they can have an outside chance of making it to the top four.
