Juventus plotting to test Liverpool’s resilience over superstar
Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been in fine form this season and has repeatedly maintained his stance that he won’t be leaving the Anfield club in January or in near future, but that has not stopped the media from linking him with top clubs of Europe. According to reports from Daily Mirror, Italian outfit Juventus are looking to price away the Uruguayan with a mega-cash offer.
The Old Lady tried to sign the 25-year-old in the summer, but the Liverpool star rejected any such lures and instead committed his future at the club by signing a contract extension.
Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers said publicly that the player is not for sale and the club will not listen to any offers for the player, who has a contract till 2016.
Earlier this week, the highly gifted striker was linked with a move to mega rich club Manchester City but manager Roberto Mancini has denied such claims.
After failing to land a good striker in the summer, Juventus are keen to amend that situation in the January transfer window or next summer, and they hope to lure the former Ajax man who is valued at £50m by the Merseyside club.
