Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz has been scouted by Premier League giants Liverpool as the club continue to identify players who would add some quality in their final third, the Sun reports.
Yilmaz joined Turkish giants Galatasaray from Trabzonspor in 2012 and has been in red hot form for them throughout the season. He finished the group stages of the Champions League as the top scorer with 6 goals, and his tally for the season reads 15 goals in 19 games. He has one of the best shots to goal ratio in the competition and has already attracted interest from clubs across Europe.
Liverpool have struggled in front of goal and are in pursuit of a proven goal scorer as they have Luis Suarez as the only recognized striker in the squad following the departure of Andy Carroll on the last day of the summer transfer window and an injury to summer signing Fabio Borini.
Manager Brendan Rodgers is hoping to ease some pressure off Suarez and has also been linked with a move for Chelsea’s England international Daniel Sturridge and Newcastle United’s Senegalese hot shot Demba Ba.
