Despite Liverpool losing their top-four status in the Premier League and seeing absolutely no European football whatsoever in the season to come, the club is still able to attract considerable interest in the transfer market. The Armenian international has a £22 million price tag on his head, a figure which comes as no surprise considering he banged in a phenomenal 25 goals last season, this despite never having once been used as a striker on his own up front.
The attacking midfielder had previously expressed his desire to play on a bigger stage and had attracted the attention of some of Europe’s big wigs including Barcelona, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester City. A bid from the Reds is in the offing as soon as they can get their own finances sorted out.
