Liverpool have made a positive start this season in the Premier League with a 100% win record. However, Brendan Rodgers wants to add more quality to his squad and one player who looks closer to a move to Anfield than others is Fiorentina’s attacking midfielder Adem Ljajic.

The Serbian international was left out of the Viola’s starting 11 for the match against Catania and Fiorentina president Della Valle admitted that the player might leave Stadio Armechi Franchi.
“Nothing in particular happened even if the player is a bit nervous and the coach decided to leave him at home. There is nothing else to say. He will almost certainly leave Florence this transfer window,” said Valle to Mediaset Premium.

The Viola were hoping to keep the talented 21 year old for at least one more season and held showdown talks with Ljajic on Friday. Fiorentina coach Vicenzo Montella spoke to Gazzetta dello Sport about how he was frustrated with the entire situation.

“Adem has felt he has a point to prove ever since the second half of last season, but it’s also true that his colleagues and fans have stuck by him. He has received his coach’s backing, too. I don’t have the time or desire to keep waiting, especially because the lad is not happy. So from my point of view, a coach’s point of view, I’m going to do things my way,” said the Italian coach.

Earlier Della Valle refused to rule out selling Ljajic to Milan but would rather he moves away from Italy. Valle said: “We will never sell him to Milan? I never say never to any team.”
