Liverpool’s little Welshman has settled in just fine.

There were a few shock transfers in the summer, and when Brendan Rodgers was appointed boss of Liverpool, it was inevitable that he was going to raid his old club for its tops stars.

But surprisingly he only took young Joe Allen with him to the Merseyside club and it was probably a good decision, as the player has fitted in nicely to his new surroundings.

When he arrived from Swansea City, critics were questioning whether or not the player was worth the £15million that was paid for himm, but I believe that he has justified the price tag so far.

The Welshman has a keen eye for a pass and is very composed on the ball, he is always available to receive the ball and he just gets the ball and then just gives it, just what he was brought in to do.

Rodgers has one way of playing, and that is to pass and keep possession, so the recruitment of Allen was a smart move as the player was the heart of Swansea’s great season last year.

However, the Liverpool boss has only recently started to see the results he was hoping for at the start of his tenure and with so many under-performing players at the cub, he cannot afford to lose any of his top stars, and now it seems that Allen has fallen into that category.

Allen hasn’t set the world alight so far, but given more time he will become an Anfield legend.
