There are reports emanating from abroad that Manchester City owner Sheikh Mansour is rumoured to be after Barcelona pair Cesc Fabregas and Sergio Busquets.
It would be a shock to many if the Spanish international returned back to the Premier League given that Fabregas fought so hard to reunite himself with Barcelona only last summer.
The former Arsenal captain has been used as a bit part player since returning to the Nou Camp and has become disillusioned with life at the Spanish giants, which has led to him contemplating leaving his boyhood club to gain regular first team action and has also sparked rumours of an impending bid from the Manchester club.
City boss Roberto Mancini’s admiration for the player is widely known and the Italian would love to see the quality and ability of Fabregas plying his trade at the Etihad.
The spending power of the City owners is endless and they are willing to pay whatever it takes to bring the midfielder back to England.
However, if Fabregas decides that a move back to the Premier League is not for him then Mansour will focus all his attention on the Spaniards international and club team-mate, Sergio Busquets.
The player is regarded as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world and Mancini is constantly looking for ways to improve the squad, so Busquets would be a great acquisition to the team.
