According to reports, Manchester City are lining up a move for Spanish youngster Isco.
Recently Roberto Mancini travelled to Spain to watch Isco in action after City’s scouts were highly impressed with the youngster. The Manchester City manager was present in the stands during Malaga’s match with Atletico Madrid.
Isco is one of the most sought after talents in Europe at the moment. A host of European clubs are said to be interested in signing him. Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and, Manchester United are the other Premier League clubs who are regularly scouting the 20-year-old midfielder. After the departure of Santi Cazorla to Arsenal, Isco has stepped up his game. The Spaniard has taken over the role of the orchestrator in the midfield. He has been in great form this season, racking up three goals and two assists in nine appearances (in all competition) so far.
Manchester City star David Silva has reportedly recommended Isco to Roberto Mancini and now it seems that the Malaga youngster is Mancini’s most prominent transfer target at the moment. Earlier in an interview Malaga sporting director Mario Armando Husillos has revealed that although the Spanish club would love to hold on to Isco, but if any club meets the release clause in Isco’s contract then they would be forced to sell him. Isco reportedly has a €21m buy-out clause in his contract. But with host of other clubs interested in signing him and a bidding war looms large on the horizon, that price is sure to increase.
