Man United Vs. Chelsea: whose attack will win the game?

Manchester United and Chelsea is one of the biggest games of the season and I have pin-pointed my two players on each side who will be the biggest threat going forward.

Sir Alex Ferguson has spent money this season but his most impressive capture is Robin Van Persie. He is arguably the best striker around and can transform a game in the blink of an eye. he already has eight goals in eleven games this season. But it is his ability to score from anywhere which makes him so deadly.

His strike partner Wayne Rooney is starting to find some form this season, and they are probably the most feared strike-force in the League. Rooney’s ability to create from anywhere on the field is there for all to see, his passing is top notch, and his finishing is as good as anyone’s in the world. But it his tendency to drop deep and link up the play which will cause the Chelsea defence such a problem. He could be the key to Ferguson’s success this season.

Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo has also spent massive amounts this summer, but Juan Mata is his most important Chelsea player. The little Spaniards vision is something to behold, and in a moment of brilliance he can change the game for his side. His distribution is good and he works hard for the team. But it is his goal-scoring which is a threat; his burst into the box has brought him six goals this campaign and he will be looking to add to that this Sunday.

Eden Hazard has been the player of the season so far and creates so much for his team. He has made a big impact at Stamford Bridge and with his pace, skill and tremendous ability; he can cause any defence problems. But it is his movement which will help win the game on Sunday. With United’s slow back-line he will need to keep the defenders on their toes, he will need to be on the move throughout the whole game and get into those little pockets of spaces just in-between the defence and midfield. He is an integral part to Chelsea’s puzzle this season.

Both teams have defensive frailties, so knowing that, there should be plenty of excitement this coming Sunday and I believe Chelsea should be the ones coming out on top.
