The need to add attacking muscle is evident at Old Trafford and Manchester United are reportedly lining up Valencia playmaker Sofiane Feghouli, according to reports in Spain, as Sir Alex Ferguson looks to boost his midfield options. Manchester United have long been looking at an option to replace Paul Scholes who will no doubt retire within the next year or so and spend his time at home playing Party Casino and Sofiane Feghouli, the 22-year old Algerian, looks likely to provide them with that opportunity.
Japanese star Shinji Kagawa has made a strong start to his Old Trafford career since joining from Borussia Dortmund, but doesn’t appear to have the ability to play in a deeper role, while Tom Cleverley has also impressed this season, but doesn’t seem to offer enough going forward, and is a good passer of the football, but doesn’t have Scholes’ predatory instincts. To add to this even the returning Darren Fletcher is a good squad player, and while his presence does make United a more complete team, he is unlikely to replace Scholes in the final third.
Enter Feghouli, who looks certain to provide United with a more attacking option should Sir Alex be able to convince Valencia to part with their star man.
