Manchester United are in hot pursuit of Crystal Palace ace Wilfried Zaha and the club officials expect to land their target although Tottenham appear to be in the driving seat after making the first move for the young English international.
20 year-old Zaha is dominating the headlines in this transfer window with Tottenham, Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea fervently chasing the playmaker. Palace are well aware of the interest in their youngster and the club are prepared to sell him only if the buying club are willing to loan him back for the remainder of the season to help them in their bid to secure promotion to the top tier.
Palace rate their star player at £20 million and Spurs are understood to have table a £10 million offer for the promising midfielder. Sir Alex Ferguson was angered when Tottenham landed former United defender Ezekiel Fryers, and the Scot is prepared to dent Spurs’ plans by hijacking Zaha’s move to White Hart Lane, according to the Daily Mail.
United and Spurs are leading the race for the talented Englishman and he could sign for one of the two clubs this winter. Ferguson is desperate to beat Spurs to this signing and a bidding war is likely to ensue over the creative midfielder’s signature.
