Highly rated Malaga youngster, Isco, who is wanted by both Manchester club is set to sign a new long term deal with his parent club, according to reports from talkSPORT.
Several other English clubs like Liverpool and Tottenham have also been monitoring his situation with close interest, who has grabbed the eye-balls of all the top teams in Europe with some stellar performances in the Champions League this season.
The 20-year-old came through the youth ranks of Valencia but failed to impress for the Los Che and was sold to Malaga in 2011. Since, then he has made 43 league appearances for the Spanish side and has scored eight league goals as well. However, it is his heroics, against Russian outfit Zenith Saint Petersburg, where he bagged a brace in the Champions League that generated interest among all the top clubs in Europe.
Sporting director Mario Husillos said: “Talks for renewal [of his contract] are still on track.
“The boy wants to stay at the club because it is clear that this is best for his development. Isco is intelligent and young and hasn’t played that many La Liga matches.”
He also believes that if the player at all leave Malaga in future, it is highly unlikely that he would choose any English club as his preferred choices are either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
