The nominees were announced earlier this week for this years Ballon D’or, and the 23-player shortlist has divided the world already on who they think will take the prestigious award home this coming January.
Manchester united pair Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney are among those nominated and they must be in with a great shout to challenge the best in the business.
They have both been in great form over the last twelve months and are probably the most deadliest strike pairing in world football.
However, you cannot look beyond the likes of Lionel Messi of Barcelona, Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid and Radamel Falcao of Atletico Madrid, who are on the form of their lives and are considered by many to be the top candidates to take this year’s crown
But who do you think will win it this year Ballon D’or?
There are so many world-class players in the mix to win the prestigious award, and you can’t really guess what FIFA are going to do because they are so un-predictable.
But in the end I believe that the player who will walk away with the honour of being the best around will be Cristiano Ronaldo.
He is probably the only complete player in world football right now, and has worked immensely hard over the past twelve months to take the Ballon D’or off Messi.
The top three nominations will be announced on the 29th November.
