Inter Milan star Wesley Sneijder is one step closer to the exit door at the club as cross town rivals AC Milan are looking to snap him up. On the other hand, it is also being reported that Manchester United also view Sneijder as the potential creative force in their midfield to replace veteran stars Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs .
Sneijder was asked to take a pay cut to his weekly wage that is believed to be around £200,000. Further, it is believed that the club has made it clear that unless the midfielder chose to do so, he can forget about playing games again for the Nerazzurri.
Reports surfaced last night that English giants Manchester United could make a move for the Dutch international though his exorbitant wage demands could prove to be a real stumbling block.
According to talkSPORT, the 28-year-old could make an incredible switch to Inter’s fiercest rival AC Milan with the Rossoneri looking to bolster their squad in the winter transfer window.
AC Milan are in the hope that central midfielder Nigel De Jong, a close pal of Sneijder, would tempt the former Ajax star to join him at the club. Manchester United are also not out of the race yet as they could well enter into a bidding war in six weeks’ time.
