QPR set to approach Liverpool for out of favour star
Joe Cole is a player who excited Liverpool fans when he announced that he would be moving to the Merseyside club in 2010. Injuries have however marred the former England international’s career at Liverpool and Cole is tempted to be reunited with Harry Redknapp at QPR.
The ex-Tottenham boss helped Cole climb up the ranks at West Ham and it comes as no surprise that the midfielder has been linked with a reunion at the London club. Cole has only been utilized as a fringe player; often playing in the Europa League games, while his huge dip in form and pace have become very noticeable. This has limited him to notching up three appearances in the premier league this season and the 31-year-old may leave the Merseyside club if he wants to get more playing time under his belt and get back into the international scene with England.
This loan deal looks very promising for Joe Cole and it may even cause Anfield Boss Brendan Rodgers to sell his midfielder after the loan expires. The Reds boss has promised to spend a large chunk of available transfer kitty and many faces are set to depart the Merseyside club this January, with Cole being one of the first names on the list.
