It is now an open secret that Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho will leave Real Madrid at the end of the season and if the reports circulating in the media are believed to be true, then his future destination lies at English club Chelsea.
According to reports from Germany, Mourinho is looking to bring one or two Madrid players along with him to the London club, and one of them is the highly rated central midfielder Sami Khedira.
The 26-year-old has been ever-present at the heart of Los Blancos midfield for the past three seasons. The German midfield maestro would be a natural fit at Chelsea and his experience and quality will provide much needed depth in the side. He has two more years left on his contract and would be available for a fee in the region of £20m.
Central midfield is one of the areas that need strengthening in the summer as club legend Frank Lampard is set to leave following the expiry of his contract.
Madrid are preparing a mega bid of £60m for Tottenham star Gareth Bale and are looking to sell some of the first team players to maintain the balance in the side. Chelsea, for sure will be trying to lure Khedira in the summer and Madrid might listen to offers but only if the price is right.
