Sat 7th July – Arsenal transfer news including latest RVP rumours

The transfer round up unsurprisingly kicks-off with the ongoing Robin van Persie transfer saga as former Arsenal man Kolo Toure has urged the contract rebel to join champions Manchester City in order to strengthen their team for Champions League success. Speaking to Manchester Evening news, Toure said, “Robin is a top player. I’ve played with him, I know him and he’s a great man. At City we have great players and the club does what it wants in transfers. But for me, if Robin comes it’s great because I know what he can do.”

But as the Mirror reports, noise from the Catalan press indicate that Barcelona are looking to add the Dutchman to their ranks, at the expense of David Villa. The Spanish record goal-scorer has been out injured since last December but the report suggests that Barca could get up to €25m for the star, which would in turn be used to tempt Van Persie to land at the Nou Camp. The Italians aren’t too far away either as the Daily Mail also claims that AC Milan have now joined the race for the 28 year old, although the club will have to raise the money from player sales.

Arsenal have loaned out starlet Joel Campbell to Spanish side Real Betis reports The Mirror. The 20-year-old Costa Rican forward, who spent the last season on loan at French side Lorient, has passed his medical and signed a contract with Betis. Campbell joined Arsenal from Deportivo Saprissa in August 2011.

Sel RVP to Barcelona if they are interested. Under NO CONDITION should he be alowed to join Man city. Arsenal too seems too unserious. They need to investigate and confirm RVP contact with city without permission to report city to FIFA. All their oil money will be worthless in the transfer market if they are found guilty. Otherwise, city will buy all arsenal players. they target Arsenal because thy know that their players are not well paid and city does not have scouting abilities.
