Hollywood has come a-calling for Frank Lampard and no it isn’t an acting gig in a blockbuster movie, but rather a fresh approach from LA Galaxy. The Mail on Sunday report that the MLS outfit want to bring in the Chelsea midfielder to accompany David Beckham & co. But the 34 year old has resisted the temptation to move away from Stamford Bridge, especially last season when he was a fringe player under Andre Villas-Boas. His contract expires next year, thus giving Galaxy hope that they can convince the three-time Premier League winner to shift across the Atlantic for a last hurrah in his career.
talkSport reports Italian giants Inter Milan are looking to offload their right-back Maicon in the summer, with Chelsea an interested party. The club feels that age is catching up with him after having a disappointing season. And, having already let go of veteran defender Lucio in their bid to bring up young players, the 30 year old Maicon is expected to follow suit soon now. The club are expecting a price in a region of $30 million for the once highly acclaimed defender, although it is highly unlikely that anybody would even contemplate matching that evaluation for the aging defender. Champions League winners Chelsea are in for the Brazilian after letting go of Jose Bosingwa and reportedly looking to sell off Paulo Ferreira too.
Salomon Kalou’s future continues to be uncertain despite the player’s contract at Chelsea expiring as of today. The Ivorian striker spoke to Goal.com about his current situation, stating that he would make a decision after returning from his holiday in America. Liverpool and Arsenal have long been admirers of the 26 year old and a move should materialize sooner rather than later.
