Turkish giants Besiktas have come a-calling for Everton defender John Heitinga, reports the Daily Mail. The Dutch defender had a topsy-turvy year, being excellent throughout the Premier League season, which even won him the club’s player of the season award, only to have a pathetic Euro campaign which saw Netherlands lose all three of their group games. His club performances haven’t gone unnoticed though, with Besiktas being extremely keen on securing his services. However, Toffees’ Manager David Moyes would be desperate to hold on to his key defender.

QPR are on the verge of signing Man United star Park Ji-Sung this summer, reported the Mirror. The 31 year-old midfielder will certainly play a major role as the main playmaker for Rangers at the start of next season, with club captain Joey Barton being unavailable due to a 12 match ban. The iconic South Korean will move to Loftus Road for a reported fee of £2 million, after completion of the pending paperwork.

Stoke City have trained their eyes on American defender Geoff Cameron as a replacement for the departed Jonathan Woodgate claims the Stoke Sentinel. The versatile 26 year old, currently plying his trade at Houston Dynamos, can fit in at centre-back or centre midfield and with the transfer not expected to be very high, Tony Pulis could be on the verge of a very shrewd piece of business.

The Daily Mail reports that West Brom are about to snap up 21 year old Belgian Yassine El Ghanassy for a deal in the region of £2 million. The skilful attacker might have moved to the Premier League back in the January transfer window itself but ·Manchester City’s £4 million bid on the transfer deadline day was rejected. Now his Belgian club Gent are ready to offload him for the cut-price deal, and the player has chosen Premier League football over a reunion with former manager Michel Preud’homme in Saudi Arabia.

The Premier League trio of Norwich, West Brom and Fulham are set to be disappointed in their pursuit of Danish striker Nicklas Helenius according to talkSport, who reveal that the 21 year old prefers a move to the German Bundesliga or the Dutch Eredivisie over English football.

Newly promoted Southampton have confirmed the signing of midfielder Steven Davis from SPL’s discredited giants Rangers. The 27 year-old had already rejected the transfer of his contract to the new owners, and the Saints’ website confirmed the player’s move to Southampton on a three-year deal. A statement on the website read, “The Northern Ireland captain Steven Davis has signed a three-year contract with Saints.” The ecstatic player told the website, “I’m delighted to get everything done and dusted, and I’m looking forward to getting started.”
