Olivier Giroud has thrown his considerably weight behind Manager Arsene Wenger staying on with the Gunners next season despite continuous rumours linking him with a move to French giants Paris St. Germain.

Arsene Wenger has always declared that he is a man who honours his commitments, and will not leave the club on his own volition before his current contract expires in 2014. However, a failure to finish in the Champions League places for next season may force the Gunners to have a rethink about whether Wenger is the best man to keep running the club.

Giroud though remains hopeful that his compatriot will stay on at the Emirates for a long time to come. The 26 year old striker said, “We are going to finish the season and then take stock. If we qualify for the Champions League, I don’t see why he should leave. He built the club and made it grow. Arsenal is where it is because of him.

Giroud added, “He still has a year left and he wants to finish things. He will make his decision in good time. This is not the the time to talk about him leaving.”
