Three things Wenger must do if he remains at Arsenal next season

Arsenal are in a precarious position at the moment. Though their form has improved after Christmas, defeat against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday had struck a devastating blow to their ambitions.

They are seven points adrift of Spurs and their chances of finishing in the Champions League spot is that much more difficult.

Fans have grown restless all season while many even raised the issue of removing manager Arsene Wenger from the managerial hot seat.

With or without Champions League, Wenger must take three major steps in order to shape the club perfectly during the rebuilding phase.

First, he needs to develop a winning mentality at the club. For that, all he needs is to prepare his team for every competition and give equal importance to domestic cups as well. Success will generate the winning mentality which is desperately needed.

Secondly, he needs to invest and properly. It is expected that Wenger will be given enough funds and it’s important to buy quality players again. Instead of buying too many squad players, it is important to make one or two quality additions to the side.

And finally, he needs to win big matches. This season, Arsenal have won only one match against a top four team and we all know Spurs played with 10 men for over an hour that day. Next season, they must win against big teams. It will give them immense mental strength which will help the team develop strongly in the rebuilding phase.
