Hungary winger Balazs Dzsudzsak’s agent has revealed that Liverpool tried to sign the player during last month’s transfer window but were reportedly turned down his club, Dynamo Moscow. The Metro quotes Dzsudzsak’s agent saying, “Inter along with Liverpool wanted to add Balazs to their squad. But Dynamo would not let the player go.’ Dzsudzsak has been rated at close to £12 million by Dynamo and his agent hopes a move could be secured at the end of the season, “My client really likes Moscow, but he wants to move to one of the major European leagues. I hope in the summer, Dynamo would look at doing a deal if an offer arrived”

Liverpool have joined rivals Manchester City and Tottenham in the race to sign Sampdoria striker Mauro Icardi. According to the Daily Mail, the Merseyside outfit have enquired about the player but the Premier League clubs look set to be beaten by Inter Milan as the Argentine U20 international has reportedly agreed a deal with the Italian side to join at the end of the season.
