Victor Moses says he has moved from Chelsea to Liverpool to get some much needed game time, having been promised a “prominent role” at the Reds. The 22 year old Nigerian told the Daily Mirror, “As a young footballer coming up, I just want to play games. Liverpool is a massive club and I just want to enjoy my football out on the pitch and try to help my team-mates… It is the right opportunity for me. It’s definitely the right move – this is a massive club, with all the history.”

Veteran Spanish midfielder Xabi Alonso is yet to ink a new contract with Real Madrid, and remains a possible departee from the capital club next summer when his contract runs out. Liverpool and Chelsea are desperate to recruit the veteran pass master, but Tuttosport reports that Juventus could beat the English duo to his signature as they are keen to bring Alonso in as a replacement for another great distributor, Andrea Pirlo.
