Tottenham move to the front in chase for German ace

The name Marko Marin has been doing the rounds for the last few months in the transfer gossip columns and the young Werder Bremen attacking midfielder has found himself linked with a whole host of clubs including the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal, however it is apparently Harry Redknapp’s Tottenham Hotspur that is the 22 year old most likely destination.

The German press do seem a little bit more reliable than their English counterparts when it comes to transfer gossip on German players and they are linking Marin more and more with a move to White Hart Lane, this despite the fact that Spurs do already appear well served in the midfield area with likes of Modric, Huddlestone, Sandro, Lennon, Bale and others.

Redknapp has already made it clear he intends to bring in fresh players to Tottenham but the general opinion was that it would be the forward line that would see the biggest overhaul, that does not mean however, that Redknapp would necessarily miss the opportunity to sign a young player of Marin’s abilities.

No figure has been mentioned but it is the general opinion that a fee between £15 Million and £20 Million will be enough to secure Marin’s signature.

Top class young talented midfielder who will only get better with age, but once again we are over run in midfield and lets face it, Arry wont get rid of enough players to justify a large transfer fee for another midfield player. We need 2 maybe 3 forwards first, and a goalkeeper i hope.

This guy is awesome, his goal against us was amazing.
They’ve dubbed him the german Messi would be a great signing.

Reminds me more of Modric than Messi but a very good player for sure. Can he play upfront?? :P

Yeh he is quality like Modric but plays wide and more direct ala Messi in terms of getting shots in.
I really like him and would want us to sign him even though he isnt a striker.

Krancjar and Van der Vaart will go I feel, so he can come in to replace them, Pienaar will stay for back up.

And then we can go and get 2 strikers, dont think we need a defender with Kyle Walker coming back, Marin, Berbatov and Aguero would do for me lol. They will cost around 60m, but Bentley, Gio, O’Hara, Hutton and Krancjar all defo absentees will fetch 25m minimum between them…..and Van Der Vaart will be worth 20m…15m outlay aint bad

Good player, I would let Bale go for £40 – £50 million and buy this guy, Bale has only had a few good games, promises a lot but he is injury prone, i feel that why the over the top press comments are still going we should cash in, the rest of the money can then be put towards a new forward line plus keeper…..

    Or Spurs could play a 4-6-0 formation…
