Dynamo Kiev striker Dieumerci Mbokani has issued a come and get me plea to Tottenham Hotspur, by going on record by declaring in no uncertain terms the amount of disdain he has for his present predicament.
If Jose Mourinho claims to be ‘The Happy One’ (though he might not look it), Mbokani is certain to be christened ‘The Unhappy One’ after telling the Metro on Saturday, ‘I am very unhappy here. I came to Kiev to play many matches, but because of the rotation policy of Oleg Blokhin, this has not happened. If things do not change soon I will leave – a big club in England is after me.’
Tottenham will certainly hope that things do not change drastically for Mbokani before January as they are believed to be the ‘big club in England’ who are chasing him, having done so for over a year now. Mbokani joined Kiev barely a few months ago, but has been extremely frustrated by his lack of game time.
The Metro believes that he will be available for about 6 million pounds, but Spurs will need to be wary of his desire to play regular football, as they are unlikely to be able to offer him that either.
