Arsenal fans have been given reason to cheer after French international Yann M’Vila has admitted to the Daily Star that he would be interested in a move to Arsenal. The defensive midfielder was one of Wenger’s targets this summer and with the French boss planning a complete redesign of his squad this summer, the 21 year-old could be an integral part of Arsenal’s future plans. The Rennes player has said, “I have heard Arsenal are interested in me. I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League.”
Montpellier star Olivier Giroud, whose transfer to Arsenal has now been confirmed, has gone on record with the Sun to express his joy at the move to North London. The 25 year-old played a key role in Montpellier’s Ligue 1 triumph last season. Arsene Wenger is in the process of significantly redeveloping his squad this summer and with star striker Robin van Persie ready to depart, the Frenchman could prove to be an ideal replacement. The player told the Sun, “I am so happy to be signing for Arsenal. I’ve always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.”
Arsenal reject Nicklas Bendtner is moving close to an Emirates exit, after his agent confirmed interest from other clubs in his client, following a superb display for his national side in the Euros, reported Danish blog bold.dk. The player, who is no longer a first team feature at the Emirates, spent last season on loan at Sunderland. With Wenger planning a major clear out to facilitate new signings, the Danish striker is expected to move out soon. The agent said about his player’s future, “The interest is overwhelming, after the way Nicklas performed at Euro 2012.”
French club Rennes have received a·£4.1 million offer from an unnamed club for their central defender Abdou Kader Mangane, reports the Daily Mail. The player has been a target for Arsene Wenger for some time as the Frenchman looks to strenghten his defence. However, the French club hasn’t accepted the offer yet and with the 29 year old keen on moving to England, the Emirates could still be a probable destination. The one concern though has to be the player’s age, with Wenger rarely signing players over 27.
