The Daily Mail reports that Italian Champions Juventus are set to step up their chase for that big-name striker by tabling a bid (player plus cash) for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez. The Turin club had also been linked with Arsenal’s Robin Van Persie and Manchester City’s Edin Dzeko, as they prepare for Champions League football and the defence of their title. And now they are hoping to lure long-time target Luis Suarez, who is due to sign a contract extension at Anfield. However, we hardly feel that the Reds would be willing negotiate any kind of deal for one of their best players.
Demba Ba could well be on the move to Liverpool this summer with the Merseyside club keen on taking advantage of the bargain·£7 million release clause in his contract which expires on 31st July reports the Mirror. However, the Reds are sure to face a battle against Tottenham, amongst others, for the 27 year old’s signature. The Newcastle man was in staggering form in the first half of last season, and is sure to have a lot of top options to choose from.
