He may be returning to form on the field, and that appears to have rubbed off on Arsenal keeper Wojciech Szczesny’s big fat mouth with the young Pole looking to rile up the Gunners’ opponents in the race to the UEFA Champions League spots.
Arsenal currently hold on to 4th place in the Premier League standings and are on a good run of form, but could slip down a spot to 5th place should Tottenham beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Szczesny though has told both rival clubs that he believes his Arsenal side will finish ahead of both of them in the Premier League standings come the end of the season. Szczesny said, “If you look at Chelsea’s fixtures, they have Tottenham and Everton left and they won’t be easy games. Tottenham (on the other hand) do not have enough quality, so there you go.”
Despite mathematics stating otherwise, Szczesny believes that Arsenal’s future lies entirely in their own hands, and declared that should his side continue to rack up the wins in their last two games of the season they will clinch third place once again this year.
